“Manners maketh man.”
-William of Wykeham

Manners in general I believe kind of make you who you are, just like this quote said. Having a manners is assign of respect and dignity that you have and it shows the type of parents you have, either they are super strict not letting you to do anything or the type of parents that  are very liberal and have different ideas of the world but know how to keep it old fashioned. Manners in my opinion are essential to who you are and who you’ll become.

“Right is right, even if everyone is against it; and wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it.”
-William Penn

I honestly don’t know what to say like yeah right is right and wrong is wrong but everyone’s right and wrongs are different. It’s not what society really says that makes is right it’s all on you are your morals and beliefs. What is truly right and what is truly wrong. There are honestly so many ways in where this quote can go. I understand the part in where it mentions how if its right and others think it’s wrong, well it’s your right and that’s all that really matters. Some people just like to be led by the crowd rather than themselves when in reality that person had been right all along and everyone else was wrong.

“The reward for doing right is mostly and internal phenomenon: self-respect, dignity, integrity, and self-esteem.”
-Dr. Laura Schlessinger

This is a great quote because it’s pretty much true because when you do something right nobody is really there to give you a high five or give you $10,000 but when you do it you get a sensation that you are doing something good and you feel great in the inside, so when doing the right you are pleasing yourself more than you are pleasing others, and that’s a good thing.

“The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in DETERMINATION”
-Tommy Lasorda
I totally agree with his quote because in reality there is no difference between a possible and an impossible goal, the only difference is that you have to work harder for one than the other. I don’t believe there is an impossible goal it just all depends on you and your determination.

“I will persist until I succeed”
-Og Mandino

I strongly agree with the quote, my reason being that everything is possible as long as you keep trying and trying and accomplish that dream of yours. Persistence is key to success, I feel like that was a student success statement a couple days ago, but it’s true. If you keep giving it your all, all that giving will return you something in favor. A great example of persistence is the struggle of someone who wants to become successful but don’t have the opportunities or resources to get them started, so they make opportunities until they achieve what they desire.

I would like to become a perfusionist because on the hands job, you aren’t dealing with the basic stuff you are dealing with the legit operation and having the capacity to having a patient’s life in your hands. I know it might sound wrong because it kind of like a rush knowing that everything depends on you and the capability of the surgeon.

“Nothing in the world can take the place of PERSISTENCE.
TALENT will not; noting is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
GENIUS will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
-President Calvin Coolidge (30th president of US 1872-1933)

I agree with this quote because it’s nothing but facts about life. You may have the brain, the talent, the money, and the education but the doesn't compare to someone who is willing to do anything and everything in order to fulfill their dreams as they are people who won't give up until they achieve what they have proposed themselves to. I honestly believe that they are many people in the world that are lacking skills but they have what others don’t have and that’s perseverance.

I totally I agree with this quote, the only thing that will help you succeed is to push yourself through and if you fail you haven’t pushed hard enough. Persistence is key to success and just keep believing in yourself and never give up because if you give up then why would you waste your time and energy in something you didn’t even finish.

“NO student ever attains eminent success by simply doing what is required of him/her; it is the amount and excellence of what is over and above the required that determines the greatness of ultimate distinction.”
-Charles Kendall Adams, American Historian

I agree with this quote and it’s ironic because Mr. Solis was talking about this in the morning about how people who just do what’s necessary doesn’t get far compared to the person who cuts above and does more than what's required. I repeat, I totally agree I mean why do you want to settle for what’s easy I mean don't you want to be better and do better? Just do more than expected because you might end up with results you didn't know were possible.

“Doing what is right, fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing.”
-Chick Moorman

I honestly don't know what is right or fair I mean you have to put yourself in survival mode if you have what it takes to take the win and you know the others don't it’s you or them why are you going to give up that opportunity just because you let your feeling get involved. Life isn't fair so why should you be, you do anything you can to make sure you have what you need and everything and everything will just come into place.

“Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than everybody else expects of you. Never excuse yourself.”
-Henry Ward Beecher

What this quote is trying to say is well very evident isn't it. I mean why you are going to set yourself to the standards that people want you to be, be better than they expect you to be. If they think you aren't going to doing anything prove them wrong and show them how much you can really do without them. Honestly don’t let yourself be guided by others because that will probably be the biggest regret you’ll ever have. You do you and do it very well and don’t let anybody tell you wrong about that.
Ophthalmic Technician

I wouldn’t like to be an ophthalmic Technician because I don’t feel like it’s my thing I mean people like following orders from other people but I wouldn’t like that and then dealing with other people’s eyes is just not my thing.

“The best way to predict your future is to create it.”
-Charles Ketterer

I couldn't agree more, I mean people are always talking about how they want to know what destined for them and what their future is going to be like when in reality them are actually seeing a portion of it without them even noticing. Like also this great quote I found a couple years ago it says, “Life isn't about finding yourself, life is about creating yourself.” These two quotes fit perfectly because people seem to leave it for later and not do anything about it now will not make a difference between now and two years. Life doesn’t make you who you are; you make life be what you want it to be.

I wouldn’t like to become a nursing home administrator because it seems like a lot of taking care of and some much paper work and filing it’s just not my thing. Taking care of other people isn’t my forte and making sure they do their job right well if they can’t do it what makes you think I could make them do it?

“Action is the foundation key to all success.”
-Pablo Picasso

I agree with this quote because it represents the truth of living YOUR life. By not taking action on anything you will literally go nowhere but down. There is so much out there and so much to accomplish that just sitting there and doing nothing will get you nothing. Take action in what you believe in and don’t give up because one day you'll have everything you have always wanted so just keep taking action. Action is the key to all the doors.

“Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare.”
-Japanese Proverb

This is an awesome quote I’ve never heard it before but I like this quote a lot it signifies some very strong points about, well everyone. when you dream about something, and I'm not talking about a dream when you are asleep, I'm talking about an idea or something you really want to do, you should probably take action upon it and try your to make that dream come true because if you don't then that’s all it will ever be, a dream. I though disagree with the second half of this quote because I don't believe an action without a dream is a nightmare I think it’s more like an adventure. You take a route you have never dreams of and you might end up where you really want it. Never think that any action is bad it might be different than what you are accustomed to but don't let that the scare you because that fear is just another obstacle from your dream.

Reflection:

I don’t think I’m adequate  for this job because it doesn’t really catch my attention I mean it must be awesome working with all these chemicals, mixing and matching different substances but I just don’t want to mess with that and end up putting the world in danger for compounding something that can’t be irreversible.

Glenn Verniss Cunningham has a very inspirational story in which he was told that his  leg would no longer functional and there he goes and proves everybody wrong and by pushing himself into giving his all in something he believes he can do and does very well. This just proves that anything you set your mind to you are capable to accomplish by not giving up and just keep pushing until you are satisfied. Nobody should have an excuse for not being able to do something because there isn't any excuse for anything but yourself.

“Adversity causes some men to break—others to break records”
-William A. Ward

I’m kind of in the middle in this one because I believe that the adversity people live leaves them in a very thin wire in where they can fall easily in two very distinct directions one can be very unfortunate and end up in serious mental and physical problems as also falling into the other which causes you to persevere into never being that person ever again doing all the ideas you have always wanted to do. I feel like I went in circles here but what I’m trying to say is, yes people are more capable in breaking records because of their adversity. They have something to live by something they went to leave behind but they can’t until they break the record.
Monitor Surveillance Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor Surveillance Technicians gather heart beat patterns of patients and check for any changes and abnormalities of the heartbeat.  They use computers that display information of various patients and maintain the equipment clean.

I wouldn't like to become a monitor surveillance technician because there isn't really much to do other than sit there and check monitors for things that might need the patients to find. Not necessarily prepared for a job like that I don't believe I would be.

“The best inspiration is not to outdo others, but to outdo ourselves.”
   -  Anonymous author

I believe that this quote is accurate, considering that many people are so competitive with others that they don't realize that that doesn't do them very good and the person they should be really competing against is themselves.  You always have to push yourself to do better than the last time and improve your skills be looking back on the mistakes you did and why it happened. It’s all you. An example would be like when you are in a team and you did okay for the reason being that you were comparing yourself to another person than yourself. You have to compare yourself with yourself like maybe you a week ago wasn't as good as you are know.
Health Science Librarian

Duties and Responsibilities:
The health science librarian’s organize data used by practitioners regarding the patient’s care, education, research, and administration. They deal with electronic database information system, organizing the information into collections and develop catalogs for access.

Salary: $35,000 - $55,000

Education:
Students should take challenging high school courses in information management, science, math, and English. Health science librarians should earn an undergraduate degree in one of the life sciences and have a master’s degree in library science.

Reflection:

I wouldn’t consider in becoming a health science librarian because I’m not a very structured person who likes to keep things organized and remember where exactly I left all the data. It seems like a boring job that is my opinion maybe others might not think so.
