take challenging courses in high school on math, science, and computer
technology. Special programs should be taken to become a monitor surveillance
technician in vocational school, community college or hospitals.
I wouldn't like to become a monitor surveillance technician because there isn't really much to do other than sit there and check monitors for things that might need the patients to find. Not necessarily prepared for a job like that I don't believe I would be.
