Ophthalmic Technician
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Ophthalmic technicians help ophthalmologists by performing
simple eye exams, assisting with eye surgery, and explaining diagnostic and
treatment procedure to patients. They work at hospitals, clinics, or for ophthalmologists
in private practice.
Salary: $14,000-$25,000
Education:
Students will need a high school diploma or GED certificate.
Two years of college before the ophthalmologists training. These programs may
take up to two years till completion.
Reflection:
I wouldn’t like to be an
ophthalmic Technician because I don’t feel like it’s my thing I mean people
like following orders from other people but I wouldn’t like that and then
dealing with other people’s eyes is just not my thing.
