Ophthalmologist
Duties and Responsibilities
Ophthalmologists are physicians who
treat eye disorders and diseases. They treat vision problems and prescribe pharmaceutical
and corrective eyeglasses. They also have the capability to perform surgery if
necessary. Ophthalmologists work in hospitals, clinics, or have their private
practice.
Salary: $90,000
- $150,000
Education:
Physicians are only eligible to
become ophthalmologists after completing medical school, internships and a
three to five year residency in an approved ophthalmology program. After
completion of residency program an exam will be taken for certification.
Reflection:
I would consider becoming an
Ophthalmologist for the reason being, I like the medical field and this seems
like a great route to grow in thought I might reconsider the whole surgery thing
but it seems like an amazing job that I would like to have.
